Monument Metals FAQs

In their FAQ page, they outline a very short and non-committal return policy that reads like this:

“Due to the fluctuating market values of coins and bullion products, returns may not be available for all products. In some cases, we can offer exchanges.”

Yes, Monument Metals charges sales tax on applicable orders depending on where the order is being shipped.

Sales tax can be quite confusing and dealers do tend to handle it differently so you may want to read their actual sales tax page listed her: MM Sales Tax.

We could not find any mention of a military discount at MonumentMetals.com.

If you do a search for monument metals coupon code you will find plenty of website promising promo codes for Monument Metals.

However, be careful because we were not able to get the discounts to work. We believe these are sketchy click-bait websites.

However, we did see a place to input coupon codes during the checkout process.

Yes, we would consider Monument Metals a legit bullion dealer. They don’t have as many reviews online as other dealers but they do offer third party reviews from Trust Pilot.

Currently, they have almost 1,000 review on their Trust pilot listing.

They have also been accredited with the Better Business Bureau since 2017 and currently have an A+ rating. This listing also mentions they’ve been in business for 7 years.

Monument Metals has offered a silver at spot starter pack in the past. However, currently their 10 ounce spot offering is out of stock.

We’ll leave a link below to the page so you can check to see if it comes back in stock at a later date: silver at spot offer.

Monument Metals is located in Maryland. They have the following address listed on their website:

1341 Hughes Ford Road
Suite 113
Frederick MD 21701

About Monument Metals

Monument Metals is a family-owned business headquartered out of Frederick, Maryland. They have a combined three decade experience in the the numismatic and bullion industry.

They say they started in the wholesale business first and then started selling to the general public in 2014.

However, it wasn’t until Penn Metals went out of business that we started seeing Monument Metals online. There were reports in online forums that Monument Metals was emailing people that had never given their email to Monument.

The theory was that Monument Metals bought the customer list from Penn Metals and used that to launch an online bullion dealership.

Monument Metals Gold & Silver Prices

To see the most recent prices on bullion products from Monument Metals, check out the table above. The prices are updated every hour. We also check to see if they have the product in stock and report that as well.

Do they offer low prices? Monument Metals has been known to offer some of the lowest prices online. For example, if you are searching for prices on gold eagles or prices on silver eagles, you will see we have them consistently marked as one of the lowest price dealers.

And even if a dealer does have a lower price, you should always check the shipping policies to make sure you’re still getting the best out-the-door offer. This is why we post the shipping prices next to the dealers name on each product page we offer.

Monument Metals vs Money Metals Exchange, Silver Gold Bull, Provident Metals and SD Bullion

When we compare some of the big name dealers in the US with google trends over the last five years, we can see that Monument Metals stays near the bottom of the list over this duration.

Monument Metals has certainly made a name for themselves as a low priced dealer. But according to Google Trends they have not made up much ground on some of their direct competitors.

We can see they run neck and neck with Silver Gold Bull for the longest time before silver gold bull slightly pulls away from them.

The other interesting part that sticks out on this chart his how they have basically caught the trend line of Provident Metals. You can see that after JM Bullion acquired Provident Metals in 2019, that gave way for Monument Metals to take some market share from them.
